Thanks to funding from The Vermont Arts Council and the National Endowment for the Arts, I was able to consult with a wonderful designer, Susan Lee, and finally get my website up and running. It is still a work in progress, so I will be adding to it over the summer, but please visit it and give me feedback. It isn't showing up on search engines yet, so you need to put the address in directly.I should probably put a sign here saying gone fishing for the summer only instead of fishing, it is weaving....so bare with me, while I focus on my work for awhile.

ReplyDeleteI doubt you'll remember me, but I took a workshop with you at Univ. of Mn. (St Paul campus) back in..... the early '90's I think it was. At that time you were in Phili at the school of art and design. I kind of lost track of you after that. Heard you'd moved to N.M., etc.
Anyway, I found you on Chad Hagens's blog and was so surprised to find you in Vt. I live in northwestern MA now, maybe 15 or 20 miles from Bennington.
Years later I want to tell you that your workshop was so very influential in my life. I continue to think about the ways in which you had us work, the difference in "seeing" that you encouraged, and the advice you gave me about what to make. At that time I was weaving clothing and you told me in no uncertain terms to make clothes I liked and would wear, and I'd find people who would buy them. Though I no longer make clothing, I continue to make what I see in my mind's eye - things I'd like to look at hanging in my home -- and it really works!
I love your current work. I love seeing how each of us grows in our art.
